He wrote in a social media post, “The sad news of the martyrdom of Army jawan Parminder Singh of Chhajli village of Sangrur district has been received in Kargil. I salute the courage of the martyred soldier for the country… Also heartfelt condolences to the family… The government is with the martyr’s family in this difficult time… All possible help will be given to the family…”
Reacting to this, Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu said, “Very sad . But the immediate help to the families of our warriors given by our present government is amazing. No one before them has ever done it. We cannot take away the pain but financial support to the family can at least strengthen their resolve to survive. “
