Punjab desk: In a recent development, Punjab Government has changed the venue for debate on state’s issue to be held on November 1. As per sources, now the debate will be held here at PAU, Ludhiana. The Change of venue from Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh came after Theatre clarified that venue can not be used for political debates as per the rules.
Now the debate will be held at Dr Manmohan Singh Auditorium of Punjab agricultural University (PAU). Though official confirmation is awaited on this.
On Sunday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann challenged opposition for debate on the issues of State and SYL. It should be noted that proposal of debate has been rejected by State BJP President Sunil Jakhar. November 1 also marks as Punjab Day.
