CM Mann meets family of Martyr Jawan Parvinder Singh, hands over cheque of Rs 1 crore as honorarium

Punjab desk: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reached house of martyred Jawan Parvinder Singh. Parvinder Singh was martyred in Kargill and was serving the country in Sikh Regiment 31 Kargill in Punjab. Today CM reached his house and expressed condolences to the family. As per the rules of Punjab Government, CM Mann handed over the cheque of Rs 1 crore to family of martyred Jawan as an honorarium.

In a post on X, CM said “Parvinder Singh, a jawan of village Chhajli in Sangrur district, who was martyred while on duty in the past few days. Reached the jawan’s house today, shared his grief with the family and handed over a check of 1 crore rupees to the family as an honorarium as promised by the government. They protect our borders in every difficult and easy times… It is the moral duty of governments to take care of the families behind them… which we are fully committed to fulfill at all times…”

Parminder Singh was serving in the army for 7 years and was married on October 2 last year.
