CM Mann celebrates birthday in native village, lauds youth for donating blood

Punjab desk:  Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann celebrated his birthday today in his native village where thousands of youth participated in the blood donation camp by donating blood. Describing blood donation as the biggest service, the Chief Minister said that every person can contribute in this initiative, due to which many precious lives can be saved. He said that the youth of the state have done excellent work in every field. He said that donating blood is a true service to humanity and   it is a matter of great happiness that today a large number of youth have come forward to donate blood.

The Chief Minister said that every youth should realize that every blood donor is a hero, hence they should donate blood from time to time. The Chief Minister also appealed to the youth to motivate their peers to voluntarily donate blood from time to time to ensure adequate blood supply for general treatment, especially emergency treatment. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that even a drop of blood donated by a person can save a person’s life, hence blood donation is very important.

In response to a question, the Chief Minister said that the upcoming session of the Punjab Assembly is completely legal. He said that the meeting to be held on October 20 and 21 has been called after taking advice from legal experts and in accordance with the Indian Constitution. He said that during this two-day session many public welfare bills will be introduced, which are very important for the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Assembly is a democratically elected body which is answerable only to the people of the state and not to act according to the will of any individual.
