 After Joe Biden, UK PM Rishi Sunak arrives in Israel

International desk: Amidst Israel-Palestine ongoing conflict, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has reached Tel Aviv, Israel. Sunak has arrived in Israel day after US President Joe Biden concluded his quick trip and meeting with Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu. It is reported that PM Sunak will meet PM Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.

After reaching Israel, UK PM Sunak posted on X. Affirming UK’s support to Israel at diificult times, he said , “I am in Israel, a nation in grief. I grieve with you and stand with you against the evil that is terrorism. Today, and always.”

Sunak will also urge the opening up of a route to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza from Egypt as soon as possible, and to enable British nationals trapped in Gaza to leave. Yesterday before his visit, Sunak condoled the loss of lives in Hospital Explosion in Gaza. He said, “We are all shocked by the scenes at the al-Ahli Arab Hospital. Our intelligence services are rapidly analysing the evidence to independently establish the facts.” He even told the lawmakers not to rush to judgements on who attacked before all the facts are there.
